Cordelia Cruises now has two ships operating from separate Indian homeports, giving its west-coast programme a Mumbai base for Cordelia Sky and a Kochi base for Cordelia Empress.
Parent company Waterways Leisure Tourism confirmed the deployment in a stock-exchange press release dated 26 October 2026. Sky began its inaugural guest sailing from Mumbai on 23 October, while Empress left the same port for Kochi. The company describes this as its first simultaneous two-ship, two-homeport operation.
The practical change is a broader choice of departure points and voyage lengths. Sky’s Mumbai programme combines short breaks with Goa and Lakshadweep itineraries. From Kochi, Empress offers weekend sailings, three- and four-night Lakshadweep cruises, and a five-night international itinerary linking Malé and Colombo.
Cordelia reported nearly 6,000 embarkations and disembarkations across the two ships at Mumbai on 23 October. This is a combined turnaround measure, not evidence that 6,000 different passengers sailed together or a measure of occupancy.
The announcement establishes a larger operating network, but does not demonstrate its financial performance. A third ship, Cordelia Sun, remains scheduled to join in 2027 rather than part of today’s operating fleet.
