StarDream Cruises has received the Best Regional Cruise Experience honour at the BusinessToday Industry Choice Awards 2026, according to the organiser’s announcement on October 29.
The company, which brings together the StarCruises and Dream Cruises brands, was recognised for its contribution to cruise tourism and its regional holiday offering.
The awards were presented at Hilton Petaling Jaya on October 28. The joint BusinessToday and PC.com ceremony featured 59 award presentations across multiple industries. This year’s BusinessToday programme carried the theme “Malaysia, ASEAN and Beyond”.
Malaysia remains a focus
In its account of the cruise award, BusinessToday highlighted StarDream Cruises’ wider Malaysian departure network. The company added Melaka and Penang embarkation options alongside Port Klang in 2026, while its itineraries included destinations such as Tioman, Pangkor and Langkawi.
The organiser also pointed to the company’s work with travel agents and tourism partners on fly-cruise packages and holidays combining cruises with land stays. Onboard offerings cited included Asian and international dining, family activities and entertainment.
StarDream Cruises president Michael Goh identified Malaysia’s potential both as a market for cruise passengers and as a destination for overseas visitors. The company said it would continue developing partnerships and broadening access to cruising in Malaysia and the surrounding region.
