On September 19th, the General Office of the Ministry of Transport issued a notice on the full resumption of international cruises, marking the end of the three-year suspension period of Chinese cruise industry. China officially returns to the international cruise stage. On September 27th, the General Office of the State Council issued the notice of Measures to Release Tourism Consumption Potential and Promote Tourism High-quality Development, which clearly proposes to improve cruise tourism policies, strengthen the construction of cruise tourism supporting service facilities, and optimize cruise routes and cruise tourism product design. In early November, Adora Magic City, the first large cruise ship built in China, will be delivered. The cruise economy in Asia will have a new development pattern.
Hosted by China Communications and Transportation Association(CCTA)and the People’s Government of Shenzhen Municipality, the 16th China Cruise Shipping Conference(CCS16) will be held in Shenzhen from November 25th to November 27th, which means CCS16 will become the first industry topic center after the official and full resumption of cruise lines in China.
In late March, China began the pilot resumption of cruise tourism in Shanghai and Shenzhen, and as of September 18th, 34 voyages were completed, carrying 19,122 passengers. The trial voyages stimulated tourism, promoted consumption, and boosted market confidence, which were also welcomed by all sectors of consumers. On the premise of ensuring safety, the pilot work of Chinese cruise ship resumption went smoothly.
