Adora Flora City was delivered in Shanghai on November 6, 2026, bringing China’s second domestically built large cruise ship a step closer to entering service from Guangzhou Nansha. Xinhua reported the handover from Shanghai, where the ship was built by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, part of China State Shipbuilding Corporation.
The next operational milestone is the move to its South China homeport. Xinhua reports that the ship is scheduled to reach Guangzhou Nansha on November 12, with its inaugural season due to begin on November 22. Trial voyages and other preparations are planned between delivery and the commercial launch.
The opening five-night itinerary is scheduled to sail from Guangzhou to Hong Kong and Chan May, the Vietnamese port serving Hue. The delivery has now been completed, while the homeport arrival and inaugural passenger departure remain future events as of November 7.
At 141,900 gross tons and 341 metres long, Flora City has 2,130 guest cabins and a maximum passenger capacity of 5,232. It follows Adora Magic City, delivered in November 2023, and adds another China-built large ship to Adora’s regional deployment.
For South China’s cruise market, the handover moves the planned Guangzhou deployment into its final preparation phase. This report updates our earlier coverage of the ship’s pre-opening programme. The remaining dates and itinerary are subject to operational changes.
