On May 19, coinciding with the 14th China Tourism Day, to deeply implement the concept of tourism for the people and promote the high-quality development of cruise tourism, one of the five sub-venues in Shanghai, Baoshan District, held a special event on the “Piano Land” cruise ship under the theme “Happy Life, Seeking Dreams by the Sea.”
In the Qindao Performance Hall on the “Piano Land” a century-old Steinway piano was played by Baoshan artist Luo Wei, who brought classic pieces and recreated scenes from classic films. The intensity of the emotions and the musical tension left a deep impression on everyone.
During the event, the “Silver Age Life, Old Post Office Fun” cruise tourism project was officially launched, and the “Baoshan Pan-Asia Cruise Tourism Legal Service Studio” was inaugurated. This provided exclusive discounted cruise products for the elderly and offered more comprehensive legal service guarantees for cruise tourism.
With the global resumption of international cruises, Huaxia International Cruises has settled in Baoshan. Leveraging the first-mover advantage and strong foundation of the cruise industry, Baoshan District aims to make the cruise tourism industry one of the six leading industries in its industrial transformation.
To fully leverage Huaxia International Cruises as a central enterprise’s cruise operation platform and Baoshan’s cultural and tourism resources, Baoshan District Culture and Tourism Bureau signed a memorandum of cooperation with Huaxia International Cruises. Both parties will utilize their strengths to promote cruise tourism culture, shape Chinese-style cruise products, and guide the standardization of the cruise industry. This collaboration aims to enhance the cultural content and market influence of cruise tourism, allowing more people to understand, experience, and share the cruise travel lifestyle, thereby creating a new pattern of cruise tourism consumption development. This initiative will further promote Baoshan as an international window and card for cruise culture dissemination.
The head of the Baoshan District Culture and Tourism Bureau stated: “In our cooperation with Huaxia Cruises, we will continue to advance the construction of the International Cruise Tourism Resort, targeting September 30 as a significant milestone. By then, the resort’s commercial, performance, cultural, tourism, and service sectors will see a leap in development. Additionally, we will enhance the overall image and quality of Baoshan tourism and provide more tourism docking and services for cruise companies docking at Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal. Recently, we also invited several cruise companies and travel agencies to visit Baoshan’s attractions, culture, and history, incorporating quality tourism resources into tourism products. This will enable tourists from across the country and the world to visit Shanghai, China’s first stop, and see Baoshan, see Shanghai, see China through cruises.”
In November 2019, the luxury cruise ship “Piano Land” under Xinglv Ocean Cruises began operations from its home port at Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal, completing 20 voyages and receiving about 30,000 tourists.
This time, with the comprehensive resumption of operations, the “Piano Land” will once again dock at Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal. It is planned that the “Piano Land” will operate from its home port in Shanghai by the end of July, with routes including popular tourist destinations such as Osaka, Fukuoka, Nagasaki, Sasebo, Kagoshima in Japan, and Jeju in South Korea. Through distinctive and differentiated products, it aims to provide passengers with a high-quality cruise vacation experience that perfectly integrates Eastern and Western cultures
